WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!!

What do their shirts say??
Here is a closer look:

This surely explains why I have not posted in these past 2 months; although I have definately wanted to, but am just now starting to get the extra energy to do so! :)

Let me now fill you in on these past few months:

Saturday, March 20th - I had a few reasons to believe I may be pregnant. Well, turns out I was right!! Suspecting that I was, I sent Jason so the store that Saturday night to grab a few things. While he was gone, I had taken 2 pregnancy tests - both stating "Pregnant" I was overwhelmed, excited, scared, blessed, nervous all at the same time! I wanted to tell Jason in a special way, so why not include our adorable dogs in on it! I had made them these shirts to show off to him for when he arrived back home. The above pictures show them patiently waiting for his return: Needless to say we were both thrilled, but still in disbelief. With still having a little shock, we dashed to Macon Wal-Mart to buy some more tests - we couldn't believe we were actually having a baby! We got home, I took 3; Jason took 1 of them (just to confirm they weren't all a fluke). My 3 all said "Pregnant" again! What a blessing it was! Only a month before this had we finally decided we would try for a few months - we thought - ok, if it happens within this time, Great, it's meant to be! If not, we will wait another year. Well, it was definately meant to be considering it happened within the first month we tried! We both feel very blessed to have such a special miracle happening to us!
Tuesday, March 23rd, we had an appointment with Dr. Early to confirm the pregnancy! Without a doubt, he had congratulations in order for us! He informed me I was 5 weeks along. My due date is November 21st! - exactly 1 week after my birthday, how neat! Oh, and its the 2nd weekend of deer hunting season - mine always falls on the first weekend! I thought, dang I planned this just right!!...sorry Jason!!! Now it's going to be celebrating birthday parties instead of deer hunting parties!! HaHa!! So the same day we got the confirmation from Dr. Early, we had my parents down for dinner and gave them the news! They were thrilled of course, until I told them they had to keep quiet for 5 more weeks! We didn't want to tell people until I was further along and out of the crucial period. They understood - but man was it hard for them not to tell, especially my mom. They kept there word though, I think!

Symptoms: Well, as bad as I thought I have had it - I do think I have been pretty lucky with not being sick! Only my 6th and 7th week did I really have bad nausea - and it always seemed worse in the evening. I never have gotten sick yet, so let's hope I don't. For the past few months I have been pretty tired though, no energy - a sense of worthlessness! My poor husband has had to do so much work building our house without my assistance. I think he wishes he had my excuse at times. I do feel bad though that I haven't been able to help do more things. I was actually really looking forward to painting the rooms, but obviously I had to even stay away from those fumes!
I have had quite a few headaches lately too. They always seem to start in the afternoon - hopefully they don't continue for much longer!

Cravings: SWEETS...SWEETS...AND MORE SWEETS!!! Gotta have them daily too! I do know that is not good - so therefore I do try to balance it out with lots of fruits and vegies! I find myself wanting foods that I used to love when I was a kid - or it's just that I am now allowing myself to eat them again. I definately do have the pickles and ice cream cravings as well! Luckily, no foods have really made me sick - although the cooking hamburger smell does get to me at times.
So, to sum everything up - I am very grateful for this baby I have inside of me!!! Pregnancy is good and bad - I can't say I love it like some do - the weight gain I have experienced honestly is not fun - especially when it's not just in your belly...it's growing in all parts of my body. I try not to dwell on that cause I do know it's part of it, and I need to enjoy this time, which I do. It's hard at times though when u only see your outer image changing and nothing else. I often wander, "Geez, is there really a baby in there?" That's what I have experienced anyway, until this past week - I finally started feeling some movement!!!!!!!!!! The feeling of your baby moving and kicking at you definately makes this more genuine! It's like a little bubble or gurgle in your tummy!! When I feel that, it makes this pregnancy so much more existant and thrilling!!
This Tuesday is my next OB appt. - I will then be 21 weeks! Tuesday I will also schedule to have my other Ultrasound done - sometime later this week!! We can't wait for that! And it looks like we will be finding out the sex of the baby! I swore I would never be one that would find out - I would wait for that surprise! As much as I would love to stick to my guns, I know that it would be so much easier to plan, buy, and decorate things if we did know. Jason is up for it too! My mom and Kalee keep pressuring me as well - they find so many cutesy things that they have to pass up because they don't know the sex! I have a good feeling already that this baby is a girl! Obviously, I have nothing to base my theory on, only the little tales I have heard! The craving sweets says to lean towards girl and every time we hear the heartbeat it is always on the faster end. Also, we cannot find a girl's name we like, so that makes me think that is what we'll have too. We will wait and see - we do not care either way!
We are just so fortunate to be able to experience this opportunity of having a baby, and be able to start our new family off in our new home! We are both very thankful for what God has given us!

2 MONTHS LATER...

Yep, that's correct; It's been 2 months since my last post...Boy does time fly!! Plenty of changes have happened at the Corrick household! First, I will give an update on the house progression. The entire exterior of the house is complete except for painting the front door (I still can't decide what color to go with). And obviously we won't be able to pour the sidewalk and landscape until next spring. The interior is progressing fairly well also. We have all rooms painted (except for 1). Jason has installed all the hardwood flooring throughout the living/kitchen area. It looks awesome, we love it! My dad and Jason have also finished laying the tile in the bathrooms and laundry room. We are very happy with how everything has turned out so far! Our beautiful cabinets have also arrived - they are an antique white finish - LOVE THEM!! This weekend Ryan has come back here again and helped Jason set receptacles and hang light fixtures!
Basically, this is what is left to do before move in day:
1. paint and hang all the trim (the biggest job left to do I have been told)
2. hang interior doors
3. finish placing cabinets and countertops
4. set vanities
5. paint remaining bedroom
6. carpet bedrooms
I think that pretty much sums it up - We are still shooting to be moved in by Labor Day, I think were gonna make it!!!
Here's is the most recent picture of the outside of the house.
